Marketing Manager (St. Johns, MI)

Support and actively engage in company growth, goals and objectives as it relates to planning, designing, creating, directing and coordinating marketing activities of the company to maximize the strategic use of resources and meet objectives set forth in company strategies and business plans. Responsible for actively contributing to 1-5 year strategy and planning for Marketing Group.

Incorporated in 1983, the company has grown into a national presence marketing to all types of producers.  Our goal is to prosper the farmer while safeguarding the environment.  A steady stream of researched, improved products coupled with an ethical business model will continue to give producers of all crops increasingly better ways to Prosper the Farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all marketing efforts including GTM strategies, corporate brand promotion, product brand promotion and marketing activities designed to facilitate sales strategies.
  • Lead engagement with key 3rd party vendors including consultants and agencies related to marketing activities
  • Propose, develop and execute effective promotion strategies for corporate and product branding
  • Lead, coordinate and manage all marketing objectives, strategies and campaign development efforts related to the promotion and enablement of Sales/GTM strategy
  • Develop and lead marketing partnerships with key customers and allied partners
  • Measure, manage and promote corporate identity and create value to the organization through the use of the corporate brand
  • Lead and manage marketing staff; development, daily activities, project execution, etc
  • Develop, communicate & maintain strategic operational marketing budget for sales activities and remain within budget
  • Manage marketing inputs to Regional Summit events
  • Negotiate marketing partnerships and vendor contracts
  • Assist sales in building and growing seller and customer relationships
  • Research, identify and evaluate opportunities for market growth and expansion and develop effective approaches

Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in marketing or equivalent experience
  • MUST have background in agriculture
  • Preference for agency background, or agency engagement experience
  • Proven leadership ability & successful team management
  • Proficient computer skills (inc:  Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work within time constraints, manage time and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability & willingness to travel approx. 25% of time
