Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I expect to be in your hiring process?

The amount of time you spend in our process will vary based on the position you’ve applied to and the overall applicant flow. As you advance to each stage the Recruiter will let you know when you should expect to hear feedback.

I have to give a presentation for my final interview, what should I expect?

Don’t worry it’s not as scary as it sounds. If the role you’ve applied to requires a presentation generally your topic will reflect something you’re likely to encounter on the job or something you’re familiar with. During this time we’re looking to understand your thought process and methods for tackling a problem or situation. When you are given your presentation topic our recruiter will go over it with you and answer any questions that you have to make sure you’re well prepared when the time comes.

Is there a limit on the number of positions I can apply to?

Technically no. However we encourage you to only apply to positions that match your experience and interest.

Will I be notified if I’m not selected to go forward or if a job is filled?

Yes. We typically send an email and offer the opportunity for you to call us if you have additional questions.

I applied/interviewed for a position, but I wasn’t selected. What should I do?

Our first recommendation is to go over the feedback you were given by the recruiter and create a plan to address the areas that were identified.

Second (and this is key), don’t be too hard on yourself. Not being selected for a position is in no way a poor reflection of your skills, experience or abilities. As a hiring team our goal is to give you transparent and practical feedback that will support your growth and development whether or not you enter our organization.

I don’t have an Agricultural based degree, can I still apply?

Absolutely! Not all of our positions require an Agricultural based degree. However, there are certain positions (such as those in Sales, Agronomy and some Research roles) that may require this and if/when this is the case we outline it in the job posting.

How should I prepare for my interview?

  1. Research – if you’re looking to join the organization our expectation is that you’ve taken the time to learn a bit about us.
  2. Be prepared to talk about the items listed in your resume and come with examples – listing “increased sales revenue by 25%” is great, but we want to know how you did that, who was involved, what steps did you take, etc. This same line of thinking can be applied to any item listed in your resume.
  3. Come with questions – Our intention is create an interactive and participatory interview environment. We want you to be able to ask the questions that’ll provide you with the information to make a good decision.

Is there a deadline to submit my application?

No. We accept applications on a continuous basis.

I don’t see any positions listed that match my background and interest, what should I do?

Monitor our careers page and follow us on LinkedIn to stay in the loop of future openings.

I had a great interview experience! Who can I tell?

Everyone! Making sure our candidates walk away from our process, regardless of the result, with a positive experience is very important to us and we love to hear about it. Leave us a Glassdoor review or feel free to call/email us.

What should I do if I'm a recent graduate with limited experience or have a gap in my employment history?

Still apply, but include any relevant coursework, certifications or explanations that would help our hiring team get a better understanding of your experience and knowledge.
