Nutrien Ag Solutions is the retail business of Nutrien, the world’s largest provider of crop inputs and services. Nutrien came about in 2018 after the merger of PotashCorp and Agrium.
Though the Nutrien Ag Solutions name is relatively young, they can trace its roots to predecessors that began as early as 1859. Prior to the launch of the new brand, the company was known as Crop Production Services, the retail arm of Agrium. Crop Production Services, which itself formed through a merger of four different companies. They established a reputation as one of the leading crop input retailers in the country, with more than 900 retail locations and 7,500 employees.
Much has changed in agriculture since Nutrien Ag Solutions’ humble 19th-century beginnings. Advancements in technology allow for more effective growing methods that minimize environmental impacts. Under the Nutrien umbrella, the company has expanded its product and service offerings and is part of a global network of retailers spanning three continents.
