ResetAt AgroLiquid, we study a variety of crops in detail to determine the best fertilizer combinations. All of our fertilizer research is carefully documented, including what fertilizers we use, when, on what crops, and how those crops grow. Much of our research is conducted at our 1,000 acre research facility, the North Central Research Station (NCRS). We also partner with farmers, growers, and ranchers across the country to conduct fertilizer research in other climates and soil types. This helps us perfect our fertilizer programs, and develop the most efficient combinations for all types of crops.
Fertility Programs for Reduced Irrigation and Population
As water well production slows and regulations increase in areas of heavy groundwater use,
growers are forced to cut back plant populations to match irrigation capacities.
Effect of Transplant Solution on Tomato Yield
The objective of this trial was to demonstrate the value of Pro-Germinator + Micro 500 as a
transplant solution in tomatoes.
Field Evaluation of Supplemental Pre-Plant Sulphur Application in Soybeans
Sulphur is essential for protein formation, enzyme function, and efficient nitrogen fixation in soybean plants. Adequate sulphur availability helps promote healthy plant growth, improved nodulation, and strong seed development.
Crops: Soybean and Soybeans. States / Provinces: Ontario. Nutrients: Nitrogen and Sulfur. Years: 2025. Applications: Broadcast, Irrigation, Side Dress, and Topdress.Field Evaluation of Supplemental Nutrient Applications at Sidedress in Grain Corn
Sidedressing nitrogen in corn allows nutrients to be applied closer to the time when the crop needs them most, improving nitrogen use efficiency and supporting strong plant growth during key development stages.
Crops: Corn. States / Provinces: Ontario. Nutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Phosphorus, Potassium, and Potassium. Years: 2025. Applications: Side Dress and Y-Drop.Field Evaluation of Supplemental Foliar Phosphorus Applications in Grain Corn
Phosphorus plays a critical role in early corn plant development, energy
transfer, and root growth. It is a key component of adenosine triphosphate
(ATP), which drives many metabolic processes required for plant growth.
Field Evaluation of Pre-Plant Nitrogen and Sulphur Fertilization in Winter Rye
Nitrogen and sulphur are two essential nutrients for winter rye. Nitrogen is
a key component of chlorophyll and proteins, making it vital for
photosynthesis, vegetative growth, and overall biomass production.
Response of Winter Canola to Supplemental Sulphur Fertilization Under Field Conditions
Winter canola has a high demand for sulphur during growth and seed
formation.
2×2 Fertilizer Economic Challenge in Corn
In 2025 we did economic challenge plots with XtremeAg to see how three growers from different
parts of the country build a fertility program using a set application method and budget.
2×2 Fertilizer Economic Challenge in Soybeans
In 2025 we did economic challenge plots with XtremeAg to see how three growers from different
parts of the country build a fertility program using a set application method and budget.
Field Evaluation of Supplemental Nutrient Applications at Sidedress in Grain Corn
Sidedressing nitrogen in corn allows nutrients to be applied closer to the
time when the crop needs them most, improving nitrogen use efficiency
and supporting strong plant growth during key development stages.
Applying nitrogen during the growing season can reduce the risk of
nutrient losses from leaching or runoff.
Fertilizer Programs for Corn Silage
The objective of this trial was to evaluate a corn silage nutrition program developed based on soil test reports and grower yield goals, compared to a grower standard program. The grower standard program included phosphorus, nitrogen, and a foliar biological product. Forage samples were analyzed for quality components. Milk production was estimated using the Wisconsin Milk 2024 computer model.
Crops: Corn and Silage Corn. States / Provinces: New York. Nutrients: Programs. Years: 2024. Applications: Planter, Planting, and Side Dress.High Management Irrigated Corn_PTI Farm
Evaluation of the yield and economic impact of a corn liquid starter fertilizer and foliar nutritional program from AgroLiquid in a high management irrigated environment.
Crops: Corn. States / Provinces: Illinois. Nutrients: Programs. Years: 2023. Applications: Foliar, Planter, and Side Dress.High Management Dryland Corn_PTI Farm
Evaluation of the yield and economic impact of a corn liquid starter fertilizer and foliar nutritional program from AgroLiquid in a high management dryland environment.
Crops: Corn. States / Provinces: Illinois. Nutrients: Programs. Years: 2023. Applications: Foliar, Planter, and Side Dress.Corn Program Comparison – XtremeAg Maryland
This corn trial was established utilizing key AgroLiquid products placed into the grower standard practice. Each treatment builds off the previous.
Crops: Corn. States / Provinces: Maryland. Nutrients: Programs. Years: 2023. Applications: Foliar, Planter, Planting, and Side Dress.Side Dress Fertilizer Options in Corn
The objective of this trial was to evaluate the effect of various side dress fertilizer additions to nitrogen. Previous research has shown positive yield results from adding micronutrients, potassium, phosphorus or sulfur to nitrogen at side dress in corn.
Crops: Corn. States / Provinces: Maryland. Nutrients: Micronutrients, Phosphorus, Potassium, Programs, and Sulfur. Years: 2023. Applications: Side Dress.Corn Silage Production – 3-year summary
The objective of this project was to demonstrate the value of AgroLiquid fertilizer products on yield and quality of corn silage. This project was conducted in cooperation with Dairy One consulting. The project was conducted in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The three year summary is reported.
Crops: Silage Corn. States / Provinces: New York. Nutrients: Programs. Years: 2021, 2022, and 2023. Applications: Planter, Planting, and Side Dress.
